Before he was an insanely popular solo artist, Miyavi was a skilled guitarist and background vocalist for visual kei rock band Due' le Quartz. After an image change and a solo debut in 2002, his fan base exploded. Six albums and 9 singles later, fans still can't get enough of his album Miyavi—THIS IZ THE JAPANESE KABUKI ROCK—. In 2007, Miyavi joined super-group S.K.I.N. along with rock veterans Yoshiki, Gackt, and Sugizo. While Miyavi's style, look, and gigs constantly change, his dedicated fan following remains constant.
