This summer, videogame makers from all over the world descended upon the Los Angeles Convention Center with their shiny new games in tow. The only problem was that this event, called E3, was an invite-only party. No worries, though. We kicked down the closed doors to find the best titles for you.
LittleBigPlanet
Sony's LittleBigPlanet, due out later this year, is unlike anything you've ever seen or played. In it, you take control of little brown burlap hacky sacks with faces, called either "sackboy" or "sackgirl," and run through beautifully rendered worlds made up of just about anything you can imagine, with visuals that look more like something from a Pixar movie than a video game. You'll also explore worlds, collecting objects and navigating challenges. You're free to play however you see fit, solo or with friends, in pre-made or self-created levels. When online, you can share your custom levels with friends, and then join them in playing through your creations.

Samba de Amigo
Game makers have managed to turn Wii Remotes into everything from baseball bats to swords, but we think they finally nailed its perfect use when they made them into maracas. Colorful rhythm game Samba de Amigo lets you slap on a sombrero and shake these virtual maracas to the beat of over 40 songs, with favorites like "Macarena" and "Papa Loves Mamba" already in the lineup. You'll be able to shake your stuff alone in single-player or with friends in several game modes, including the Hustle dance. Trust us, this
game mode will really get
you moving!

Princess Debut
Imagine you're a princess and that the big ball is only 30 days away. Sounds great, right? Not so fast: You don't have a date and you can't dance! Princess Debut, available for Nintendo DS sometime this fall, drops you into this very situation. It's your job to find a prince to be your dance partner and then learn how to dance, using the DS touch screen to glide along the dance floor. You'll learn the real moves of many dance styles in modes called Waltz, Tango, Ballroom, and more by watching the motion-captured steps of professional dancers. Of course, finding something to wear is part of the whole experience, and the game gives you 20 outfits to choose from.

Major Minor's Majestic March
The creative team behind the PlayStation classic PaRappa the Rappa is back with a new Wii game, and it's easily their most crazy and colorful yet. Major Minor's Majestic March, available in time for the holidays, puts you in the marching shoes of Mike Minor, a drum major. Armed with a special baton, your job is to march the streets and assemble a massive band. The Wii Remote acts as the baton, and you have to raise and lower it in perfect time to continue marching, tipping it to recruit potential band members as you pass them by as well as to pick up in-game objects.
