Maya Kurinoki, the rising star of Sugar Princess, isn't the only one obsessed with ice skating. Her whole country is right there with her. The 2007 World Figure Skating Championships, held in Tokyo, was the most-watched sporting event in Japan last year. Thirty-eight percent of the country's television audience tuned in to watch the ladies finals. And they weren't disappointed: Japan snagged both the gold and silver medals.
