Are you intrigued by Japanese soft drinks with names like "Pocari Sweat" or "ALOE V"? Have you ever wondered what they taste like? Well have no fear, the SB staff is here to take the test for you! On one fine afternoon we put our taste buds and stomachs on the line, trying the good, the bad, and the just plain odd (at least to most of our soda-familiar palates).
SB staffers (including two from Japan, who grew up with some of these drinks) tried out a range of sodas from our local Japanese market. Some were big winners (melon cream soda is delish!) and some were big question marks. We're sharing some of our soda savvy with you, and we'd like you to share as well! Do you have any odd or exotic drink favorites? Write us at letters@shojobeat.com, and tell us all about them!
