In the hip Shibuya district of Tokyo, kids are serious about dancingthey start early and go nonstop for hours, readily consuming water (from the club) and cigarettes (from street vending machines). At places such as Club Atom, Club M, and Club Mazel, the music is predominantly trance and there are long lineups of DJs, with up to six playing per night per room. Then there's the requisite fashion, and how! We visited a few venues, and the festive ambiance and creative attire of club–goers so impressed us that we just had to share a few snapshots. |
