Shojo Beat Music Interview |
|
|
|
The three-member Japanese band the Pillows has been wowing listeners
for the past 16 years with its pure rock-and-roll sound. With guitar-driven rock and memorable, addictive vocals,
the band is a superstar but still represents a classic garage-band vibe. Currently celebrating almost two decades'
worth of music, the group has released a DVD titled 916 15th Anniversary Special Live DVD.
Recently joining the
female rock group the Noodles on the Delicious Bump Tour, the trio brought its sound to music fans in the United States,
rocketing through seven venues in 20 days. Before the Pillows took the stage at its last stop in San Francisco,
we asked Sawao Yamanaka (pictured, guitar and vocals), Shinichiro Sato (drums), and Yoshiaki Manabe (guitar) about touring,
their popularity in the United States, and what they have in mind for the future. |
