I like that this Beat Girl has pink hair, a big fuzzy coat and snowflakes falling all around her. The star accessories on her coat and jeans were a good choice to enhance the ambiance of the image as a whole. There is so much going on in this piece. Rather than just an exercise in character drawing, this piece is so rich in little details that it demands its story be told. There is so much expression in the Beat Girl's face. Something is up with that dog, which is humorously frozen still.
Long after I fell in love with this piece I realized that the little bird's eye is a dastardly shape and shade of red, a hint of darkness in an otherwise glorious day.
